Members of Dexter UMC have been volunteering with Habitat for Humanity for over 15 years. As part of the Good News House, joint ministries of the United Methodist, Baptist and Unitarian Universalist church, volunteers have constructed one house each year since 1997.
Many members of our church are involved through fundraising – the Benefit Dinner & Silent Auction – or through donations to Habitat for Humanity, providing lunches or working at the building site. Helping families with limited resources to fulfill the dream of living in their own home is a wonderful example of outreach ministry of our church.
