Tim is originally from Muncie, Indiana where he was part of the same United Methodist congregation for 25 years, and where he graduated from Ball State University in business. Tim later responded to a call to ministry, served in several para-church youth ministries, was ordained in the Church of God (Anderson) and served on the pastoral staff at a church in Indianapolis for 12 years. He has an 18 year old son who is studying film at the Interlochen Arts Academy near Traverse City.
Tim is an author of a book on grief, written following the ending of a 28 year marriage. He turned the pain into an opportunity to bless others who experience loss via death, divorce, or other griefs.
Tim and his new bride, Sharon just moved to the Pinckney area in May, 2017 and love living near the water. They both enjoy camping, hiking and biking, boating and lake life; outdoor life in general. Sharon is a music performer/teacher of the Hammered Dulcimer and Mountain Dulcimer and they enjoy attending music festivals and jams.
At Dexter UMC, Tim is focusing on building our Adult Discipleship ministry with focus on Life Groups and Sunday School classes so that whether new or established in faith, all adults at church have opportunity to deepen their walk with God and their relationship with others along the journey.
