What is China Outreach Ministries?
300,000 Chinese students and scholars study in the United States each year. There are 3,000 of them right here in our backyard at the University of Michigan.
China Outreach Ministries uses the strategy of relationship building, by having them as guests in homes, creating a feeling of family, inviting them to church where they can receive more Biblical teaching and by providing Christian education for their children.
Why we support China Outreach Ministries
Huron River Methodist and its members support this ministry financially and socially by connecting with some of the Chinese students in homes, churches and participating on some trips to area attractions and festivals.
China Outreach Ministries mission is based on Matthew 28:19 where Jesus said "Go and make disciples of all nations." China is sending it's best and brightest to US universities and China Outreach Ministries works to reach them with the Gospel message and prepare them for Christian leadership and witness.
What you need to know
China Outreach Ministries organizes two large outreach activities near Easter and Christians and welcomes help with those efforts.
There is also need of website maintenance, a weekend camping trip, planning and coordinating events like possibly a picnic for students following the Dexter Memorial Day Parade.
