We know going to a new church for the first time can be unnerving. We want to help make your first experience at Huron River Methodist a great one!
This Sunday
Huron River Methodist Church has Sunday service times at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
Here's what each environment has planned:
Adults Services:
9:00 a.m. & 10:30 a.m.
9:00 a.m. service: More traditional, our early morning service features hymns and liturgy, led by a piano and choir. Join us for an uplifting and meaningful service.
10:30 a.m. live streaming service: Our contemporary service features a full worship band with the same uplifting and meaningful sermon as the early morning service.
Adult Sunday School: A variety of times and subjects; check out our current classes here.
Nursery
9:00 a.m. & 10:30 a.m.
A place to creative play and learn about God's love, located in the Nursery.
9:00 a.m. nursery is for infant to 4 years of age.
10:30 a.m. nursery is for infant to 2 years of age.
Sunday School
10:30 a.m.
A place to learn about God's love for children 3 years to 8th grade. Check in your 3 year olds through 6th graders at the children's check in desk in the Atrium. Your 7th and 8th graders can check in at the Edge, located at on the south east edge of the church property.
Worship Arts | Kids Clubs
4:30 - 6:00 p.m.
Children will sing, learn instruments and participate in FastArt painting in club groupings. Clubs will explore the Bible and build friendships through games.
Club 56
4:30 - 6:00 p.m.
A place to explore your faith and learn about God's love and plan for our lives through games and discipleship groups (D-groups). Located at the Edge on the south east edge of the church property.
Middle School Edge
4:30 - 6:00 p.m.
A place to explore your faith and learn about God's love and plan for our lives through games and discipleship groups (D-groups). Located at the Edge on the south east edge of the church property.
High School: The Edge
6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
A place to explore your faith and learn about God's love and plan for our lives through worship, games and discipleship groups (D-groups). Located at the Edge on the south east edge of the church property.
Where We Meet
Our address is 7643 Huron River Dr, Dexter, Michigan 48130.
We have some first-time visitor parking near the sanctuary. If those are full, many people also park around back.
What Can I Expect
How long is a Huron River Methodist Service?
In total, a Huron River Methodist service is about 60 minutes in length. Services begin with the Huron River Methodist band leading the church in music - song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. After the music portion of service is complete, one of our pastors will come out to share an encouraging and hope-filled message about Jesus.
What's the culture like at Huron River Methodist?
Sunday's at Huron River Methodist are exciting, casual, and relaxed. Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest.
What about my kids?
We believe that kids should have a blast at church every single week - and we make this a priority. The other thing we make a priority is your children's safety. We have a detailed check-in process for our kids program the first time that you visit. You'll want to leave yourself an extra ten minutes to get signed in. Kids programs are offered at the 10:30 a.m. service for kids ages infant through grade 8.
